New Pavilion
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The pavilion was designed in an Italian style for Frederick William III. The plain, comfortable, unassuming interior of this former summer house (1825) is emblematic of the Biedermeier style of the first half of the 19C, although it is somewhat surprising for a king's residence. Today, it makes a splendid setting for works by the likes of C. D. Friedrich, K. Blechen and E. Gaertner.
