The Michelin Guide's review
The former canons' priory was a sumptuous palace. From 1923 onwards, it was the residence of Crown Prince Rupert. The visit includes the 13C cloisters, which have retained their Romanesque galleries on three sides and the dormitory. The latter, a handsome two-nave Gothic hall, is home to religious works of art, twelve splendid busts from the stalls of the basilica of Weingarten (1487) and two altarpieces by Tilman Riemenschneider.
