The Michelin Guide's review
Kloster Bebenhausen, a former Cistercian monastery founded in the late 12C, is an interesting example of Romanesque-Gothic architecture in Germany. In the 15C, it was reputed to be the wealthiest monastery in Württemberg, and at that time owned a huge estate. The roof light, a defining feature of the abbey, dates from this prosperous period. As well as the cloister, take in the bright summer refectory, adorned with delicate paintings.
