Jewish Museum of Switzerland
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The small and only Jewish museum of Switzerland was the first to open in the German-speaking world after WWII and is highly symbolic for this reason. After rapidly glancing over the relatively conventional displays devoted to religious rites, you will be more intrigued by those that chart the history of the Jewish community of Basel (some 20,000 people) from the 12C to the present day.
