The Michelin Guide's review
This narrow cobbled street runs from Rue des Lices to Rue Guillaume-Puy, parallel to the Sorgue, which flows alongside it. Lined with plane trees, the street is also dotted with a few of the big paddle wheels which, until the late 19C, provided power for the cotton print factories where shawls were once made. The clocher des Cordeliers (bell tower) is all that remains of the convent where Petrarch's Laura is said to be buried.
