The Michelin Guide's review
All that remains is the base of this votive monument raised by the choregus Thrasyllos (responsible for organising live entertainment) in the 4C B.C., in honour of Dionysos. This god was revered in the grotto, subsequently transformed into a chapel. Above it, the two Corinthian columns, dating from the Roman epoch, used to support two choregic tripods.
