The Michelin Guide's review
This castle acquired its characteristic appearance in 1912, when onion domes were added to its turrets. It was the residence of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie Chotek. The museum, housed in the castle's rooms, presents exhaustively the life of the archduke and the start of the First World War, with displays of numerous mementoes, personal items, photos, furniture and weaponry.
