The Michelin Guide's review
Formerly called the "Place des Hommes" because day labourers used to gather here each morning, the Place du Forum is not, as its name might suggest, on the site of the former Roman Forum. Beneath the plane trees you can see a statue of Frédéric Mistral and, just behind, the two Corinthian columns on the façade of the mythical Hotel Nord-Pinus, vestiges of the façade of a 2C temple. In summer, the café terraces on the square are a hive of activity.
