The Michelin Guide's review
The Romanesque Église de St Hymetière is a miraculous survivor of the region's turbulent history. The church's charm is irresistible: harmonious octagonal bell tower, porch paved with old tombstones, flanks supported by massive buttresses, and narrow windows and high Lombard bands. Inside, the cul-de-four chancel, and the right side aisle are reminiscent of the early building (11C), whereas the main vault and left side aisle are the legacy of masonry work carried out in the 17C.
