Louis Pasteur's House
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Located on the banks of the River Cuisance, Louis Pasteur's house contains many personal mementoes, including family portraits and a picture of Jean-Baptiste Jupille, the shepherd from the Jura who was famously saved by Pasteur's anti-rabies treatment. In his bedchamber, the pen-holder, inkpot and blotter sit on the desk; the familiar hat is also here. Instruments and apparatus can be seen in the laboratory, along with culture mediums in a nod to his experiments on the theory of spontaneous generation.
