In 1997, the city launched the Pôle image project to rehabilitate the suburb of St-Cybard by developing the multimedia industry. Magelis, named after restored wine warehouses, has brought together various structures including training centres for multimedia careers, a research centre, the Cité BD, an author's house and a business hub for companies in the animation field. Magelis is currently involved in the development of productions such as Kirikou, U, Les Triplettes de Belleville, etc.
