Nearly entirely made up of buildings from the 13C, this particularly evocative quarter is endowed with palaces, like that of Boniface VIII with its façade made up of two superposed galleries with openwork designs, and a town hall (or palazzo Communale) supported by an enormous vault with a Cistercian style façade at the rear.
