The Michelin Guide's review
Part of this Friesian village has been transformed into a village-museum featuring a variety of demonstrations and activities (including boat tours). Visitors can admire the mound on which it is built, the church with its slender, tile-covered bell tower, the fire station, the bakery, the smithy, and artist's workshop. You can also visit a typical Friesian farm - a large building home to a huge barn and cowshed. The outbuilding is raised to make space for the dairy.
