Wikala al-Ghuri
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
A wikala was a caravanserai used for commercial purposes, with a ground floor that was used as a warehouse. This one dating back to 1505 is the best preserved in the city and boasts beautiful mashrabiyas around the courtyard. It provides the backdrop for stunning performances by whirling dervishes three evenings a week.
