The Michelin Guide's review
Two telamons framing the entrance feature prominently on the façade of this "folly" built in 1665 by Pierre Pavillon and Antoine Matisse for the Duke of Vendôme, governor of Provence and cousin of Louis XIV. It boasts a collection of 17C-18C Provençal furniture which highlights the opulence of interiors of the period, as well as a number of paintings. Contemporary art exhibitions are also held here.
