The Michelin Guide's review
When strolling around historic Aix, look up and admire the wrought-iron balconies of the Cours Mirabeau, pause on Place Albertas (1745) and join the bustling Saturday morning crowds as they flock to the colourful flower market on Place de l'Hôtel de Ville. Take a peep inside the 17C town hall to admire the pleasant courtyard, and visit the cloisters and the cathedral of St-Sauveur with its Triptych of the Burning Bush. You might also want to keep an eye open for the ghost of Mirabeau (1749-91) in the Quartier Mazarin.
