The Michelin Guide's review
The village has four sculpted Pictish standing stones dating from the 7C to 9C. On the stone closest to the village hall is a cross flanked by angels, and, on the other side, a hunting scene with Pictish symbols. Other examples of these enigmatic symbols can be seen along the roadside. On the left, a road leads to the cemetery and its sculpted stone, decorated with intertwined animals and battle scenes, another brilliant illustration of this art of the Early Middle Ages.
