The island of Usedom

The Michelin Guide's review
Usedom, Germany's easternmost island and partly Polish, exudes a delightful turn-of-the-20C seaside resort aura and is dotted with towns appointed with elegant hotels and houses with wrought-iron balconies. Since the 19C, visitors have fallen in love with its unspoilt natural landscapes and sandy beaches overlooking the Baltic Sea. To the north-west the island is relatively flat, while the hillier south-east is sometimes called Swiss Usedom.
