The Michelin Guide's review
A heavenly walk (3hr 30min round trip) among the larch trees, then in the mountain pastures where sheep graze, and suddenly, at 2 415m above sea level, Lac Sainte-Anne appears. An extraordinary blue-green colour, its waters are held back by a moraine dam left behind by a former glacier. It is impossible not to be feel a certain wonder at the stunning spectacle of the peak of Font Sancte reflected in the water. On the shore of the lake, a small chapel is the site of a pilgrimage on 26 July.
