Tai Ke may only have been here since 2018, but it can be traced back to the owner's grandfather, who started a congee stall in Zhongxiao night market over 50 years ago – the interior is a nod to its heritage. With a stock base of vegetables, pork and chicken bones, the meat congee brings back childhood memories for many locals. Chopped bamboo shoot, shallot and Chinese celery impart their aromas. Best enjoyed with deep-fried pork belly and dough sticks.
