In his restaurant not far from the bullring, decorated in a welcoming vein (think trendy beach eatery) that mirrors his infectious good humour, Pierre Augé communicates his love of bang-on, creative food, popping out to say hi as guests arrive. Rather than bask in the recent media hype (albeit fully deserved), Pierre is clearly determined to explore new gourmet paths to the delight of our tastebuds, such as île flottante (meringue on vanilla custard) with sweet chestnuts or truffle-flavoured poultry and Anna potatoes with an onion soufflé to die for! A buzzy, friendly vibe adds the final flourish – highly recommended.
