Set on Monte Amiata at an altitude of 4593 feet, Albergo Le Macinaie - Monte Amiata is in one of Europe's largest beech forests. This family-run hotel lies right opposite the ski slopes and offers a restaurant. Former mill Albergo Albergo Le Macinaie - Monte Amiata has been completely renovated in 1999 and has a traditional mountain design. It features a children's game room with a Wii games console, as well as a wellness area with sauna, hot tub and gym. The restaurant serves Tuscan specialties including homemade pasta and desserts and a variety of certified wines and olive oil. Wi-Fi throughout is free. Staff organize excursions and provide maps of cycling and trekking paths around Castel Del Piano. Motorbike and quad rental is available from May until October.
