The Michelin Guide's review
The heyday of this Cistercian monastery, founded in a bend of the Kamp valley in 1137, occurred in the Middle Ages and then later during the Catholic Reform. The 14C abbey church was endowed with an elegant western façade in the 18C. Inside, little remains of its medieval legacy and the Baroque is omnipresent; note in particular the high altar and the richly decorated pews, without forgetting the cloisters.
