Yuriria Convent (Museo ex Convento de San Agustín)
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This monumental Augustinian religious complex dating from1560 commands respect. The convent of Yuriria illustrates the Plateresque style characteristic of the Spanish Renaissance. Its sumptuous façade featuring three orders is decorated with floral motifs. Of particular note is the splendid cloister with Gothic arches. A collection of religious art has found a home in the former cells upstairs and in the refectory on the ground floor.
