Sea of Heavenly Clouds
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
The highest point of the Yellow Mountains, the Lotus Flower Peak (1 864m) dominates the landscapes of the Sea of Heavenly Clouds, with its isolated peaks and huge expanses of bare rock. A path winds its way around the narrow peak, which at its summit is no more than a tiny viewpoint offering a stunning panorama. Those who enjoy challenging ascents should make for the Heavenly City Peak (1810), just upstream from the Valley of Hot Springs. This steep uninterrupted climb is well off the beaten track.
