Phocaean Coast

The Michelin Guide's review
The Phocaean Coast is a delightful stretch of the Mediterranean, characterised by tiny pine-fringed coves, intense turquoise-blue water and white limestone rock formations. Beyond Yenifoça, the road is extremely beautiful, and dotted with large stone tower-houses built by the Greeks in the 19C. Sadly, the entire coastline has been subject to the madness of property development, and the beautiful unspoilt creeks for which this coastline is famous are becoming increasingly rare, although several can still be found to the north of Foça.
