The Michelin Guide's review
The Governor's Palace, built in 1722, was the most impressive building of its era in the colonies. Elegant wood panelling and period furnishings grace this remarkable reconstruction. There's a unique display of 18C firearms in the Hall of Armor and along the broad, panelled stairway leading to the first floor. This fabulous building is set in formal gardens, including a fun boxwood maze.
