The Michelin Guide's review
At the foot of the Viennese Forest, Grinzing is a pretty village of brightly coloured houses dotted among vineyards, despite encroaching urban development. Many visitors, some of whom famous, come to taste the winegrowers' young wine in the renowned Heurigen (wine taverns), which are a source of great local pride. The village thus comes to life in the evenings, only to return to its usual peace and quiet after the clock in the onion-shaped bell tower of Grinzinger's parish church strikes midnight.
