The Michelin Guide's review
The carriage museum, located in the former Schönbrunn winter riding school, displays a superb collection of carriages and other types of transport used by the Court. The most spectacular piece is undoubtedly the gilded Imperial carriage, bearing the arms of Francis of Lorraine, decorated with paintings and drawn by eight white horses. Around 1811, Parisians must also have caught sight of the phaeton used by Napoleon's son.
