You would never guess from a look at the unassuming façade of the Kapuzinerkirche, the Church of the Capuchins on Neuer Markt, that 139 embalmed members of the Imperial family of the Habsburgs are buried here, including 12 emperors and 17 empresses. A visit to the tombs is both dignified and respectful. The finest tomb is that of Maria Theresa and François of Lorraine, while the most moving is Sissi's, permanently decked with flowers.
