Encompassing 7 725km2 of forest in the east of the province, the park offers a wealth of popular recreational activities. It boasts a wealth of hiking trails, canoeable waterways, campsites, fishing and swimming areas, ski slopes and an abundance of wildlife. Its landscapes influenced the work of painter Tom Thomson.
