Captain Cook Memorial Museum
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This late-17C house, where James Cook worked as an apprentice for the shipowner John Walker, is now a museum devoted to him. The rooms are furnished in the 18C style and, during your visit, you will see letters, documents and various objects relating to the life of this great explorer and his expeditions. A theme-based temporary exhibition is organised every year.
