The Michelin Guide's review
The main shopping street in Wexford has a lively atmosphere, thanks to its shops and pubs. On the corner of Common Quay Street, a small square still bears the name "Bull Ring", because it was used in the days of the Norman knights for bull running. The statue depicts the Pikeman, a member of the peasantry armed only with farming tools during the Irish Rebellion of 1798. The indoor market, built in 1775, is slightly set back from the square. In Main Street North is St Iberius Church.
