Goods that arrived by sea in the 17C were stored in Wethersfield's seven warehouses before they were transported inland. About 1700, floods demolished six of the warehouses, leaving only Cove Warehouse intact. The structure houses an exhibit on the town's maritime trade between 1650 and 1830.
