The Michelin Guide's review
To the south of Eighth Street, the Navy Yard was a prominent shipbuilding yard for the US Navy in the 1880s. Abandoned for many years, this area on the edge of the Anacostia district is undergoing an extensive programme of renovation works. Except for the modern buildings with view over the river, the sites worthy of interest are still few and far between. The Bluejacket brewery is housed in an impressive Navy Yard industrial building.
