The Michelin Guide's review
This museum stands in a brick building that was formerly the electric tram terminus. Using modern media, it gives a day-by-day account of the bloody Warsaw Uprising, which lasted from 1 August to 2 October 1944. This symbolic and desperate event instigated by the Polish Resistance remains very fresh in the collective memory. This is a poignant visit, especially as you come face to face with the photos of the young people who fought the Nazis in the ruins of the city.
