The Michelin Guide's review
Australia's longest river, at approximately 2,500km, divides Victoria and New South Wales along part of its course before heading southwards to South Australia. Surrounded by fertile land, hence the many orchards and vineyards, the "food bowl of Australia" is currently under threat, due to massive deforestation and ongoing pollution and soil depletion.
