Charterhouse of St Sauveur
The Green Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
Established in 1451, this charterhouse was built over eight years in a pure Flamboyant Gothic style. Secularised in the Revolution, it became a hospital in 1791. Don't miss the great cloister, one of France's largest, and the little cloister, a masterpiece of the Flanmboyant style. The refectory was only ever used on Sundays and Holy days; note the stone reader's chair with Flamboyant style decorative detail.
