The Michelin Guide's review
The emblem of the Talampaya National Park, which lies next to Ischigualasto Regional Park, is without a doubt its canyon, which slices it in two like a great fracture. Petroglyphs left by indigenous peoples around 1 500 years ago adorn its high red walls. On either side of this almost dried-out river bed, shrubs and algarrobo trees provide a little shade and are home to a variety of fauna which you will see if you are on foot. This geological treasure is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
