This magnificent building was built by Abbot Antonio Girgós (1410-24). It is a remarkable example of the Gothic style; its stern look, entirely in keeping with the other religious buildings, accentuates the solemnity of the monastery. Its façade is enhanced by a portal and delicate bay windows.
