The Michelin Guide's review
This museum occupies the former governor's mansion built by the French during the 1920s. It retraces the history of Laos through a chronological somewhat ponderous display including several remarkable exhibits such as a jar from Phonsavan, megalithic steles inscribed with solar and animal motifs, and some particularly beautiful bronze drums from the Dong Son civilisation.
