The Michelin Guide's review
Restored in 1997, this charming stone church (1873, J.-F. Peachy) built in the neo-Romanesque style has a remarkable interior. The ceiling is decorated with 76 frescoes and paintings by an artist from Saint Hyacinthe, J.-T. Rousseau, aided by Suzor-Côté. The statue of St Christopher, seen on top of the left side altar, was sculpted by students of Louis-Philippe Hébert. Also worth noting are the many Baroque-style friezes, scrolls and trompe-l'oeil paintings, as well as 43 stained-glass windows by the Hobbs Company.
