The Michelin Guide's review
The Parliament Buildings stand on the south side of James Bay: a long, squat building, with a gilt statue of Capt. George Vancouver atop its central dome. Designed by Francis Rattenbury (1867-1935) and completed in 1898, the buildings house the legislative assembly. Stationed in front of them is a bronze statue of Queen Victoria. At dusk thousands of small lights outline the buildings' exterior, adding a romantic flair.
