The Michelin Guide's review
This museum is an excellent place to find out more about the history of the Seychelles and its people. In addition to the main room, with its centrepiece, the real Stone of Possession, which symbolises French ownership and was erected in 1756 by Corneille Nicolas Morphey, it features art and traditional folk objects, including interesting musical instruments. Another very informative section is devoted to the dark days when African and Malgache people were enslaved.
