The Michelin Guide's review
The first church, razed by the Norse, was rebuilt in the 12C in the Romanesque style. The 13C saw the start of a new but never completed building, as the 14C chancel and base of a tower (neighbouring square) suggest. The interior has imposing and harmonious proportions. Note the Flemish Renaissance stalls, an 18C pulpit depicting St John's vision at Patmos by H Pulinx, 17C Flemish paintings, an organ and an 18C rood screen.
