The Michelin Guide's review
Along with the courthouse, this fine Classical building (1745) symbolises the revival of Vesoul in the 18C. Inside St Sépulcre Chapel there is a beautiful Burial of Jesus (16C) and the marble sculpture, known as La Foi, in fact depicting Venus and Cupid. To the left of the wood-panelled chancel, the imposing Baroque Assumption comes from the Dames de Battant Convent, in Besançon. Splendid 18C organ.
