The Michelin Guide's review
The Museo di Castelvecchio houses a comprehensive selection of Veronese art from the 13C to the 16C, with a focus on its links with Venice and International Gothic. It is also home to a collection of arms, Venetian paintings by Tintoretto, Guardi, Tiepolo, Veronese and Longhi, plus an interesting collection of pietre di paragone, paintings executed on very shiny black marble. Finally, visitors can enjoy magnificent views of the town, the Ponte Scaligero and the River Adige from the castle ramparts.
