The Michelin Guide's review
The tour begins on the first floor with the museum's masterpiece: Andrea Mantegna's Saint Sebastian. Although it is not the only example of the artist's depiction of the subject, the Franchetti version, even unfinished, is by far the most dramatic. The main portego overlooks the Grand Canal by way of a fine loggia and showcases a particularly rich collection, illustrated by the likes of Vittore Carpaccio, Luca Signorelli, Jacopo da Sellaio as well as Titian, Tintoretto and Van Dyck.
