The Michelin Guide's review
San Giorgio dall'Orio church, which dates back to the 9C, boasts a remarkable wooden coffered ceiling in Gothic style which is reminiscent of the keel of a boat. Also of interest are the imposing stoup made from Anatolian cipolin marble, the magnificent Ionic green marble column of Byzantine origins, and the delightful 13C sculpture in a small niche. A number of paintings by Palma the Younger complete the picture.
