The Michelin Guide's review
This museum tells the story of the powerful maritime republic of Venice. One room is dedicated to the Bucintoro, the Doge's ceremonial state barge, which was destroyed by Napoleon in 1798 and is currently being rebuilt. Part of the museum collection is on display in the Padiglione delle Navi, while around fifty boats can be admired in the boathouse where the oars were once made.
